Forensic Science Presentation

Today in Nepia we all went to the hall and learned about Forensic Science which is when at the crime they track down who did it by looking for fingerprints, blood, hair, and bits of skin left on the clothing or broken glass if they have broken through a window or a door.

We also learned about how they can use the DNA at the crime and find out who it is by getting a swob and sending it away so it can get tested.They also told us about firearms and to not use them and if someone has used it in a crime they can check the gun for fingerprints and also told us about how they can tell if they are under drugs and alcohol.

So thank you so much to Kate and Gavin for teaching us about Forensic Science we have all learned something from this. 

Monster

Monster

The tree monster was searching for the next victim he walked to the end of the swamp. There was a little village he could see lots of people to be his next victim that he can feed off. Then he heard a crunching sound in the bushes he looks back and sees a little man with guns and holding a spear “GET AWAY FROM MY VILLAGE BEAST!!” he shouted.

Then the monster started to walk towards the little man, then the monster started to run at the man. Then the man zoomed off but the monster was catching up. As he was running he could see a little hole in the side of the tree the little man then jumped into the hole.He looked out of the hole and could see the monster trying to look for him so he decided to stay one night in the tree.

8 hours later the little man woke up to a loud thump outside the tree, as he was looking out he could see the monster trying to pull the tree down.He hopped out of the hole and trying not to make a noise.After getting around the monster he decided to go back to his village, when he got back they looked terrified as he was walking out of the swamp then a little kid yelled monster at that moment the little man new that the monster was standing right behind him.

So he got out his machine gun and trying to kill it but it was doing nothing, so he tried his RPG and aimed it at his legs the monster fell over and little army soldier came with fighter jets and wrapped him in unbreakable rope and put him on the biggest truck they had and sent him off far far away.  

Matahiwi Marae Trip

It was really interesting learning about Maori history in one of the learning activities we saw two opposite tribes and two whale jaws.

In the second one, we went to a huge building with lots of different type of art and tell us who made them.

The third 0ne was when he was telling us about the family of Maui this trip was really exciting to go and learn new things

My USB

These last couple of weeks i've been making a USB to someone or our selves I think my USB is pretty good I was sick the week we made the real one but nice mr sutherland did it for me.I think of all the other tech rooms this one is the best

We have been learning about native animals from New Zealand and studying them to make a poster of them.
We had to find out what they eat, their habitat and where it can be found and other cool features of our
animal.

Imagine if we don't eat the right foods ,

our bodies  will weaken and won't stay strong,healthy and fit, and we will become couch potatoes.

We all have to eat vegetables and meat, so our bodies stay healthy and we won't get bad health problems.But unhealthy eating habits, can affect our vitamin intake,making our bodies prone to bad health problems like diabetes,high blood pressure and heart disease.  

Sugar is really bad for our bodies in large amounts,we need to eat food with low sugar levels,so our bodies burn it off quickly.Junk food,also is bad,we can have a little bit of it, but to much can make you unhealthy.

Healthy food has a lot of vitamin c  and of course, that is really good for our bodies,it helps other vitamins to be absorbed which our bodies needs, to grow fit and strong, for example mandarins,apples, and vegetables.

Children and adults are getting lazy because they sit around on their IPads,computers and phones.So go outside and play with your family, don't stay inside on the computer ,have fun outside.

Soon there will be robots that will do our homework and even our chores in the future ,don't let robots or other people do it for you, do it yourself,! DON'T be lazy.Be fit and strong,

Being fit is a way of  saying a person eats well,gets a lot of physical activity,and has a healthy weight.If you're fit,your body works well,feels good,and can do all the things you want to do, like run around with your friends,and family

Thank you stinky gas for making my brother go away.

What was challenging about this Inquiry was we didn't know where to put some of the parts but with George on our team it was really easy.What worked in our group was we were all doing something we had to and we were all talking to each other.What we could do better next time is to work faster and now what we are  making.I wonder why we need hair all it does is just sit on our head.

Big Blue Bruises

Zoom! my friends and I are racing down the beach like cheetahs running in fear. I looked down at my motorbike’s wheels. When I looked up I was heading straight into a giant rock. I did a flip in the air the next minute the motorbike fell on me. When I got home I had BIG BLUE BRUISES up and down my leg. I never raced on my motorbike again. Now I never go near the rock but Now my BIG BLUE BRUISES are gone well some of them.

I have a BIGGER motorbike now it's good because it has gears and I can't go too fast. It’s 250cc, my brothers one is 150cc.We have a beach house in Porangahau that's where I crashed into the giant rock. my friends are a little older now ones 14 the other one is 10. We see each other 7 times a year but we have fun always.The crash scared me for the rest of the year. It was the worst experience of my life,  except when I cut my knee open and I had to go to the hospital.

My brother is like a test dummy. Every day he gets hurt, he gets it from my dad. When he was young he had a two wheeler. He was riding it up and down the beach. We have a lot of fun and terrible memories.But my dad's was worse he cut nearly all of his face open. my mum on the other hand, she has not had any thing wrong with her nearly all of her life. I really hate ROCKS!.

Today in maths we used the sieve of the prime numbers up to 100.A prime number is a number that can only be multiplied by 1 and itself.

Crash! I face planted into the back of the truck. I looked in through the

window I quickly grabbed her. The man was not very happy we pulled on the break we quickly stopped. We were on a bridge we looked back at the truck the man was trying to get out so we jumped but it wasn’t really a bridge it was a side of a pool.we jumped from pool to pool we jumped one last time the man put his hand out the window as soon as we knew it we were trapped in his stinky big giant hands.

Then two boys came along. The little one saw me first he picked me up with his slimy stinky hands. They were throwing me around.Then the little one decided to put me in his mouth CRUNCH! his tooth cracked. He spit me onto the ground he started to cry the big one chucked me on the sand and buried me i never saw them again.

Wow thanks for the bike. Black and white tires orange and green handle bars and the body of the bike is bright yellow it’s even really hard to see it. I can’t wait to ride this baby in the bowl.

We wanted to find out how a battery works so we did the famous lemon experiment.We found 1 lemon =0.9volts 2 lemons =1.8volts and that lemon + lemon + pear + cucumber = 3.5volts and LED lights up.https://youtu.be/GhbuhT1GDpI

Apocalypse

Apocalypse
Cold and damp there was no sign of life. Abandoned buildings, barbed wire everywhere and huge cracks in the ground. Shaking, fear is in the air. Tree’s dying and falling like a plane crash landing. It’s so dark you can’t even see the moon shine over. Finally it’s day! Bone’s of the dead turned into dust, family skulls blown away in the tornado. It feels like hell here if only they didn't drop the missile.

Today was my first day at Technology @ HNI.Because of the earthquake this week we looked at the GET READY website and i learned that we should
1.Create a household plan ready for a disaster
2.Have an emergency kit
3.Have a getaway kit in our emergency kit we should have a torch with spare batteries.
At electronics I am going to design and make an emergency light that is powered by a battery that I can use in my bedroom if such an event occurs.
